Ingredients
  

Chicken:

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces

Wraps:

  • 4 large tortilla wraps regular, spinach, or low-carb

Cheese:

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened

Flavoring:

  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 medium red onion chopped

Seasoning:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika/smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste

Optional Add-ins:

  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

Prepare Chicken:

  • Cut the boneless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika; drizzle with olive oil and mix well.

Cook Chicken:

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until fully cooked and browned on all sides.

Add Aromatics:

  • If desired, add chopped red onion to the chicken halfway through cooking. Cook for about a minute before adding minced garlic for an additional minute until fragrant.

Prepare Cheese Sauce:

  • For a simple version, mix the shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese with the cooked chicken in the skillet.
  • For a creamier sauce, melt butter in a separate pan, add minced garlic, stir in flour, and gradually add milk until thickened. Stir in the cheeses until melted.

Warm Tortillas:

  • Microwave tortillas for 10-15 seconds covered with a towel to make them more pliable.

Assemble Wraps:

  • Spread a thin layer of garlic Parmesan sauce or butter on each tortilla.
  • Place a generous amount of the chicken mixture on one side, adding extra cheese if desired.

Fold Wraps:

  • Fold one side over the filling, fold in both ends, and continue rolling tightly. Use a bit of sauce or butter to seal the end.

Cook Wraps:

  • Heat a small amount of oil or butter in the skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted.

Serve:

  • Remove from heat, let cool slightly, cut in half diagonally, and enjoy while warm.

Notes

For a healthier option, use whole wheat tortillas and reduce the amount of cheese.
These wraps can be made ahead of time; prepare the filling and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
If using rotisserie chicken, shred and warm it up with seasonings before assembly.
To freeze, assemble the wraps, individually wrap in plastic, then foil, and store for up to 1 month. Thaw overnight before cooking.
