Equipment

  • Cast iron skillet
  • Sharp Knife
  • Heat-Proof Spatula
  • Measuring Spoons/Cups

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Beef Steak Ribeye, Sirloin, or Filet Mignon
  • 2 tbsp Cajun Seasoning homemade or store-bought
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic finely minced
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil

Substitution Ideas:

  • Ribeye Steak: Sirloin Flank Steak, or Pork Chops
  • Cajun Seasoning: Creole Seasoning or Chili Powder
  • Butter: Ghee or Avocado Oil for dairy-free
  • Garlic: Garlic Powder if necessary

Instructions

Prep Your Steak:

  • Trim excess fat and pat the steak dry with a paper towel. Cut into bite-sized cubes.

Season It Up:

  • In a bowl, toss the steak bites with Cajun seasoning and olive oil, ensuring each piece is well-coated.

Heat Your Pan:

  • Preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until smoking hot. Add a drizzle of olive oil.

Sear the Steak:

  • Sear the steak bites in a single layer for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and a crust forms. Avoid moving them too much during cooking.

Garlic Butter Time:

  • Lower the heat to medium-low. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir frequently until the butter melts and coats the steak.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and optional lemon juice for added flavor.

Notes

Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning to control the spice level.
Ensure the steak is dried properly for the best sear.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. Reheat in a skillet to retain texture.
